Refund Policy

This policy covers fees for advisory consultations offered by Smart App Studios Employment Advisory — including career path sessions, document reviews, interview preparation, and role transition coaching packages.

Eligibility for a refund

You may request a full refund if you cancel a confirmed consultation at least 48 hours before the scheduled start and no substantive work (such as document annotation) has begun. Cancellations inside 48 hours are eligible for a partial refund of 50% of the session fee, unless we can fill the slot with another client, in which case we refund the full fee minus a €25 administration charge.

Timeframe to request

Refund requests should be sent within 14 days of the cancellation or of the issue giving rise to the request.

Full and partial refunds

• Full refund: cancellation ≥ 48 hours ahead with no work started; or we cancel the session and cannot offer a suitable alternative date.
• Partial refund (50%): late cancellation inside 48 hours when the slot cannot be refilled; or you abandon a multi-session package after the first session is completed (unused sessions refunded at 50%).

Non-refundable items

Fees for work already delivered are non-refundable. That includes completed document reviews once annotations have been sent, completed live sessions, and written next-step plans already delivered. Deposits held to reserve an on-site visit outside Bad Doberan are non-refundable if you cancel inside 72 hours and travel arrangements have been made.

Refund process and timing

Email info@smartappstudios.digital with your name, booking date, and reason. We confirm eligibility within five business days. Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days using the original payment method where possible.

Rescheduling and no-shows

You may reschedule once free of charge if you give at least 48 hours’ notice. Later reschedules may be treated as a late cancellation. If you miss a live session without notice (no-show), the session fee is forfeited.

Work already started

If document review or preparation for a path session has begun and you cancel, we charge for time already spent at an hourly equivalent derived from the session fee, and refund any remainder.

Packages

Role Transition Coaching packages may be cancelled after the first session under the partial-refund rules above. Sessions already held are not refundable.
